Pupil Premium

PP_1.png

In 2011-12 the Government launched its Pupil Premium funding. This money is sent school based on the number of pupils in the school who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). It has been expanded to include all children who have been eligible for FSM within the last 6 years and there is extra funding for our Forces families.

This money is allocated to initiatives to ensure pupils reach their full potential, both academically and socially. The aim of our Pupil Premium spend is to dimish the difference between FSM and non-FSM. Our Pupil Premium spend impact should ‘close’ and ‘eradicate’ the gap for FSM children.

We continue to evaluate how we use the Pupil Premium funding, so that it continues to have an impact on our pupils and our Pupil Premium Lead presents reports half-termly to our School Governing Body.

We have assessed strengths from previous years and have studyed the Department for Education’s research and that of the Education Endowment Fund. We have altered how we use the Pupil Premium to ensure it has the desired impact.

Please click on the documents below to see how we have chosen to allocate the Pupil Premium spend at Pinehurst Primary School and the impact that the money has had on our pupils.

The Pupil Premium Strategy is reviewed on a termly basis. The Full Governing Body review Pupil Premium at their half-termly meetings. They agree the strategy in the Autumn Term meeting and review the impact in the Summer Term meeting.
