Eligible Age for Little Acorns Nursery
When does my child become eligible to attend Little Acorns?
- If your child is born between 1 April and 31 August, they will be eligible for a free place from 1 September following their third birthday, until statutory school age.
- If your child is born between 1 September and 31 December, they will be eligible for a free place from 1 January following their third birthday, until statutory school age.
- If your child is born between 1 January and 31 March, they will be eligible for a free place from 1 April following their third birthday, until statutory school age.
30 hours Eligibility
Some children are eligible for 30 hours paid nursery fees. We will work proactively with other settings to share information for children completing 30 hours across our setting and other providers.

Fees
Three and four year old children are entitled receive 15 hours of free early education per week, 38 weeks per year. In addition to this if we have capacity we can offer extra sessions at a cost of:
Morning session: £12
Afternoon session: £12
Lunchtime session including hot meal: £5
All fees are payable in full and in advance of the children attending their weekly sessions. If fees have not been paid for the additional hours, your child will not be permitted to attend their session and will lose their place.
